YANGA'S NEW COACH HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS

New Yanga coach Ernie Brandts was happy to have got a point against bitter rivals Simba in his first match incharge of the side on Wednesday evening.

Brandts described the match which ended in a one all draw, as a tough encounter and also praised their opponents for a good game but also applauded his players for working tirelessly to come from a goal down.

It was his first match having been appointed only a few days ago and he has promised to revamp the team and instil more fighting spirit in the players.

"It was indeed a tough game against Simba but I was happy how my players were able to fight relentlessly and get the important points."

"It was my first game and I had only trained the team for two days but am glad they did not let me down but I would like to make the team more tactically disciplined as we go forward," Brandts told supersport.com.

Brandts was reunited with some of his players he coached at APR including mercurial Haruna Niyonzima and Mbuyu Twitte who were in the starting eleven.
