Arsenal and Manchester City are both in action at home on an intriguing night of UEFA Champions League action on Wednesday.

Arsenal are looking to build on the three points they picked up in Montpellier when they host Greek side Olympiakos at the Emirates Stadium. The match is a repeat of last year's fixture that the Gunners won 2-1 and Arsene Wenger will expect another victory here.

But the English team with the toughest assignment is surely Manchester City as they take on Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad Stadium. After losing their opening game, Roberto Mancini's men need a win to boost their hopes of qualifying from Group D.

In the other match in that group, nine-time champions Real Madrid - fresh from their dramatic 3-2 win over City - take on four-time winners Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena. Ajax suffered late disappointment against Dortmund and are looking to bounce back in front of their own fans

Elsewhere in Europe, AC Milan look to shrug off their disappointing start to the campaign by enjoying success in the early kick off at Zenit St Petersburg.
However, Malaga can be certain of retaining top spot in Group C if they can win at Anderlecht.

In Group A there is a fascinating contest as Porto host big-spending Paris St Germain with both teams having won their opening game.
That leaves first-week losers Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Zagrebanxious to get off the mark when they face each other in Ukraine.
