YANGA PASSES THROUGH COASTAL UNION


The first round of the Tanzania Vodacom Premier League came to an end on Sunday with Kagame Cup Champions Yanga registering a 2-0 victor over Coastal Union at the Mkwakwani Stadium.
Burundi international Striker Didier Kavumbagu scored in the 28th minute, to give the Jangwani boys a 1-0 lead over Coastal Union at halftime.
Ugandan Cranes striker Hamis Kiiza continued his scoring form with a goal in the 63rd minute to seal Yanga's 2-0 win, ending Coastal Union's unbeaten run at their home ground.
With this result, Yanga managed by Dutchman Ernie Brandts stay on top of the Vodacom Premier League with 29 points ahead of second placed Azam who have 24 with holders Simba third.

The League will resume on January next year.
