YANGA TRIUMPHS OVER VICTORY


Kagame Cup Champions Yanga SC came from behind to seal a 3-2 victory over Ruvu shooting at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Yanga were 2-0 down, after Seif Abdallah's early brace in the 2nd and 9th minute of the game to give Ruvu Shooting a lead against the Jangwani boys.
Mbuyu Twite pulled one goal back for Yanga through a superb taken set-piece in the 20th minute, scoring his second league goal in Yanga shirts.
In the 35th minute, Yanga levelled the matters to 2-2 after a superb cross by Juma Abdul connected by Striker Jerryson Tegete. As it saw the game tied during the break.
After resumption, new signing Didier Kavumbagu netted a goal in the 65th minute to give Yanga a 3-2 Victory over Ruvu Shooting.
With this result, Ernie Brandts' Yanga side move to the 3rd spot in the League table with 14pts, three points short to 2nd placed Azam, 4pts short to Leaders Simba who play their game against Mgambo JKT on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Coastal Union managed to grab a fine 3-1 victory over Mtibwa Sugar at the Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga thanks to goals from Juma Jabu, Daniel Lyanga and Lameck Dyaton, with Mtibwa's consolation goal coming from Salum Sued.
Coastal Union are upto fourth place in the standings with 13pts, while Mtibwa Sugar drop to 11th on the log.
